I need some advice...I entered the US as a refugee but only after my I-602 was approved...Recently, I filed an I-730 (Refugee Asylee Relative petition) for my spouse.
We just found out that my spouse also needs a waiver to immigrate to the US. Since he will be acquiring a derivative refugee status, shouldnt I file the I-602 (as myself) instead of the I-601.
In the denial letter we received from USCIS, only the I-601 was mentioned. Is it worth pursuing this matter further by contacting USCIS. I believe the I-602 is far easier to file than the I-601. Please advise...
