Should I change my job ?

My H-1B will expire in June next year. My current company is ready to file PERM for me with EB-2 by the end of thsi April. Due to visa retrogression, it is well know that it will take > 4 years to get a green card. I feel tired in working in the company and feel streesful every day. But the company has very good reputation.

Recently, I accidently got another opportunity, the pay is much higher with less workoad. I believe I can handle it. If I change my job, the new company will file PERM for me as soon as possible. However, it might file after this June, which might cause a risk that I might not be eligible for H-1B extention in 7th year.

Should I take this opportunity? Your advise is so important to me although I need to make my own decision.

I would advise file PERM with the current employer, get your I140 approved as well and then you can get a H1B extension for 3 years straight. At that point you can change jobs and also retain your priority date from this approved I140
