should I Call USCIS to query my status?

I have done my BIO code 1 on Nov 2nd but still nothing... Should I call them and find out my status? Happy new year.

Dear Surprise77:

They will not give you a correct answer as they are handling the receipt number Sept.2000. I did once, the guy there read to you as what you can see in your computer.

Do not expect anything from 1-800 #. Do not waist your time. The most they will be able to tell you is what you can check yourself on their website in just a couple of minutes depending on how fast your computer is. If you're lucky, they will be polite with you and simply refer you to the official schedule. Hold on, some day you're gonna make it.

Unfortunately, this is the truth.........I've called them twice within the last 2 months and all they could tell me was pretty much my status message that I can check on my own. When you call, they don't really open your file to see what's goin' on.....they simply blow you off with the generic message" Oh we're now processing Sep, 2000.....you just have to wait"
Like we haven't waited long enough already

I did mine on 10/14 but still waiting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I w'd rather call a friend of mine & chat instead of calling USCIS. Them people don't know nothing so not much of any help at all. Therefore your best bet is just wait.
