Silly question.. but heck I'm feeling silly right now anywayz.
We applied for EAD renewal on the 13th of Dec 02. However, we have not even rec'd a reciept from them yet. I see people out here you have applied in Jan and are getting approved to.
The EAD is expiring in March and i am getting worried what if those $%^&&* have misplaced the application as usual.
I don't want to call them up becuase I don't want to burden the poor overworked souls by one more call to handle. But I am getting worried that even afer applying for an EAD renewal in Dec for a March expiration I could be running short of time. What should I do??

My suggestion

is no harm in calling !@#$% and asking for details. After all we pay for everything. So, we should expect some service atleast. If you have passed 90 days after applying ead renewal you should contact your local INS(i wonder whether they have this one under DHS) and see what they say..

I applied for EAD renewal on 27th Dec and have not seen the receipt notice yet. My EAD is expiring in two weeks, I am @#$%^% worried too.

I called INS a few weeks back about something unrelated to my EAD renewal. However when I mentioned that I had already applied for a renewal, she was able to cross reference to see if it was in the system. She gave me the file number over the phone. So, you could call and ask to see if its in the system.
