Should I ask for original I-140 approval notice

My lawyer sent me a photocopy of my my I-140 approval notice, saying that it is a company property. Should I be getting the original approval notice or is it what usually happens? Has anybody received actual approval notice?

What your lawyer says is true. Also,seeing your PD, it seems that pretty soon your GC will be approved.

Well U can ask Ur company to request for it... then the attorney would have to give U the original..

Once the GC is done ... ask for all the documents .. like original ETA .. I-140 etc .. ofcourse the attorney will not give U that .. the request should go from UR company... Well some say after U get GC .. ETA and I-140 is of no use ... but I would prefer to keep all my approvals -- including H1b etc in a file .. who knows what happens next ...
