I'm currently working on OPT, which will be expired in 06/2011. My boss offered to sponsor my H1B and will we plan to mail my application on 4/2011.
I'm heading back to school this fall, so I will have to change to F1 at some poing in August.
I know that if my H1B get approved, I will have a pending H1B and my H1B won't start until 10/1/2011. I wonder if I can still apply to H1B and convert to F1 in August, some time during my gap period for OPT and official start date for H1B?
Will that look really bad from the immigration's point of view?
