Hi
My case is
I have a PhD with four years research experience.
4-5 Journal publications.
4-5 public reports.
5-6 conference presentations.
I have a permanent job.
Should I go for EB1-OR category?? Or some other category??
Can someone please suggest.
Thanks

Hi

I think you can apply for EB1-EA, EB1-OR and EB2-NIW at the same time. Since the materials you submit for those cases are similar, and it only cost you an extra couple of hundred dollors, you might as well apply for all three

The materials you submit are not similar. Especially the recommendations letters, which are most timeconsumming have to be tailored for OR, NIW or EA.
Satu: Could give more informations like referee, number of citation, number of reference letters. Without much more detailed information it is hard to evaluate your case.

honkman: I will have around 20 citations, 7 recommendation letters.
The recommendation letters would be
-3 from Professors ( 2 in US, 1 outside US)
-2 from the company I work for
-1 from an international journal
-1 from a person outside US recognised in my field.
Can you please suggest which category would be right for me?
Thanks for your responses.

I think your qualifications will be enough for OR. I would get a few more letters, especially from people that you have not worked with, or from journals (editors, I presume) that you have not published in.

Which service center are you filing at? The service centers also vary a bit with their standards.

NIW might be a possiblity if you are working in a relevant field, and you tailor your petition appropriately. Personally, I would not try EA, as it would be a real stretch based on your qualifications. No offense, I would not qualify either,

I will applying at Texas service center. Yes, I will be starting to write recommendation letters presenting my skills in a correct way as it is most time consuming thing.
