Should I apply I-131 by myself?

My first AP is about to expired, and I'm ready to file for my second AP.

Questions,

1. Should I file AP (I-131) by myself, or should I find my attorney to file for me?

2. What documents do I need?

3. Can someone point out the place that shows what documents I need to attach in order to get AP smoothly?

Thanks in advance

Re: HOG

If your attorney doesnt charge u anything, then ask them to apply or else go ahead and apply urself. its pretty simple.

1. fill the i-131 form.
attach copies of the following docs.

485 receipt notice, h1b, passport, marriage ceritificate(if applying for spouse) and old AP.

good luck.

I applied AP myself and got receipt today by mail.

WAC-03-065
RD: 12/18/02
ND: 12/23/02

Beside what mentioned above by CS485, I also attached two photos, personal check for $110, copy of I-140 approval notice, copy of I-94, and a letter explaining the reason to travel.

Can you show me how to write letter explaining the reason for travel? I want to renew my AP also. Does it need H1B?
Thanks

Sorry, I cannot show you how and there is no sample letter available. You need to make up your own reason.

I heard people from this board got RFEs for I-140 and marriage certificate, but none for H1B.
