Should I apply for AP

Hi All,
I have applied I140/485 in CSC and both pending.I did not apply for EAD/AP but my wife has got EAD/AP and she is working.I am still on H1 with my sponsoring employer and I have current H1B apporval notice(expires in sep,2006). My passport had previous employer's visa stamp which expires on 05/15/2005.I am still maintaining my H1B status. Now I am planning to visit india in July/August (flexible though), I know that I can get new visa issued (H1B stamp with new approval notice) but these days its taking months to get appointment in Delhi for visa issuance and still not sure if they will raise some objection and it delays processing further. So I was thinking, if I could apply for AP and could use that to return back to US. I will complete my H1B 6yrs on 9/16/06. Will there be any problems with this. I want to stay on H1b status after returning, since I will not be applying for EAD. What are my options ? Will appreciate your suggestions. Should I also apply EAD along with AP. And you don't need an EAD - you can enter on AP and work on H1
 
If you plan to get stamping in Delhi, here is the trick. Don't afraid by a far available appointment date. First get any available date, it will establish the appointment 'account' with ttsservices. Then keep check the earliest available dates with 'modify/cancel appointment' option. Periodically the site purges any cancelled appointments and many times a date is available which is 7/15 days away. I did it for my relative's visa application -- initially it was July date and now I have got it for 20th May. And I also noticed now ttsservices has 'emergency appointment' arrangement also. And H1B stamping (extension only) is one of those emergencies. But please check with site first.
 
Question with AP

Hi Everyone,

I have advance Parole which will expire in August, 2005. Planning to go abroad for 30 days in July this year. I did Special Registration in the very first year when it started, then following year that yearly requirement was suspended. Now do I need to leave this country through certain Port of Exits? What do I do at the port of exit airport other than submitting my I-94? Is there anything more that any one can share please. Is it true that one must have I-140 approved before leaving USA with Advance Parole? I would appreciate your feedback in this matter. Regards.
