Short term validity Indian passport

Any one renewed a short term validity Indian passport? were you issued a new passport or they put a stamp on the old short term valid indian passport. please share

Check on Indian consulate website. You can renew it. Check for the requirements on the respective consulate of your jurisdiction.

New validity date will be stamped

They will stamp the new validity of the passport on one of the pages inside, mostly page 3 or 5.
It will be referred at the issuing place like RPO, chennai and that would take about 45 days in some cases.
