Short-term stats

It seems that lawmakers don't want to address our EB bill separated from the illegal aliens cause. Ok. No relief bill as well. Lawsuit ? Not an option.

Could we pay a lobbyst to at minimum contact a senator or authority able to inquire on the statistics and "expected" demand for the EB visa numbers ? At least if USCIS can give us a gross estimate on when visa numbers are supposed to advance, we could plan our lives a little better ?

According to my attorney, DOS doesn't have an idea of visa availability. USCIS does. How come USCIS doesn't know how many 245(i) or whatever total number of cases were filed and are coming ?! Is there any authority in this country able to do an inquiry on this for God's sake ?!

They will never release them ...

marlon2006,

The only reason the DOS and USCIS hold so much power is that they keep most stat information totally hidden. They make all sorts of decisions based on all this hidden information and then after all the decisions have been made and things have been done their way they release the stats for the previous year. Its to late to act by then. For example, right now a lot of visa numbers are probably available but no one knows this for sure because of a lack of stats. The DOS and USCIS are continuing with retro and all these visas may get wasted. They will release the stats next year but what can we do then.

I do not think there is any way for us to get this information. This system is totally broken and no one is willing to fix it. Infact most lawmakers like it the way it is.
