Short Name on W2s, pay slips, bank statements

I have a question:
Due to lengthy last name, I kind of used short last name so that it is easy to say for americans.
For Example:
Original Last Name: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Used one: XXXX ( First Four )

All my immigration work is done with lengthy last name. Same name is on my passport, driver's license, SSN and tax returns.

But short name showing up on W2s, Bank Statements and pay slips. On the W2s and Pay slips there is SSN matching with my SSN.

Is this is ok? Did anybody came across case like this?

I talked to my attorney and she said it is ok, asked me to get the employer letter with full lengthy name.

I just want to know if there are any first/second hand experiences.

Thanks
Ravi

Just want to add:
I filed tax returns for the past three years with the same short last name on W2s with no problem.

To start with it is too late in the game to ask such a question.

But I also like your attorney dont think this would be a big issue. But to play safe...when you take a notarized employment letter make sure to include your full and complete last name and in brackets your short name as it appears in various documents!
ONLY if asked at the interview explain the situation.
