Shd. I renew my EAD/AP

I applied for 485 in Dec'03. 140 approved and am still waiting for FP. I applied for EAD and AP and was approved in March'04. Both I and my spouse have valid H1s and have not used our EAD. Do we still have to renew them?

Yes

If you are planning on using your EAD/AP before your GC is approved, then you have to renew it. EAD/AP expires after an year.

You don't have to renew your EAD, as long as you have valid H1-B, and most of the lawyers advise on staying on H1-B. But when it comes to AP, if you have valid visa stamped on your passport, it is ok. But with valid H1-B and without the visa, when you travel abroad you have to get visa stamped for re-entry, in case something happens with visa processing, you can enter on AP, which you can use as a backup. Just for my information. Can we renew EAD/AP Before 4 to 5 month of expire ?.

You can renew upto 6 months before.

Is there any problem if we renew it after it expires ? I mean apart from the fact that we won't be able to use the facility when EAD/AP is expired and new EAD is not approved yet.

You can renew upto 6 months before.
