I was approved asylum on Dec,1999 by IJ. Applied for my I-485 after a year Nov,2000 to TSC (Back then that's what I was told by the immigration officer at the time I went there to receive my I-94). Asusually received a application received letter from INS (Presently USCIS) TSC with a receipt date Nov,2000 & Notice date Dec, 2000. I first received my FP notice on Jan,2001, than the second FP notice on Feb,2002, but did not receive any FP notice on 2003. Than again another FP notice for May,2004, next FP July,2005 (code 2) again another FP (code 1) October,2005 same year.
Ok I need to mention after first filling my I-485 at TSC Dec,2000. After two years on June,2002 I received a transfer notice from USCIS saying my case has been transfered to Lincoln, Nebraska (NSC) but the recept date showing Dec,2000 wherelse notice date is June,2002. That's the part scares me to death. I don't care where they transfer my case how come notice date is showing June,2002. I just wonder under which date USCIS really count???? If one thinks normally it should be the receipt date which means the date application was filed & received by USCIS. Cause if you go by the notice date than one can file a petition this year & USCIS could reply him/her 5 years later. Does that mean USCIS don't have to start processing this petition assuming no matter when that was filed but our notice date is 5 years later so they will start processing that petition after 5 years. That don't make no sense.
Well, if you all look at my case it was originally filed on Dec,2000 & I even received that letter with a receipt date & notice date 2000. Now why are they transfering my case after 2 long years to NSC or even they do it how come my ND on that transfer notice is 2002 ??????
Any one has any idea?????
This year I finished my medical (I-693) on March & send my G-325A along with the medical as USCIS requested as RFI. My FP code 2 was done on July this year as mentioned earlier also had my FP code 1 this month (October).
I know it's a stupid question to ask in this forum but can anybody give me an idea as far as processing where I'm standing??????? Am I close to receive an approval soon??????? Is it that hard for USCIS to approve an already approved case by an IJ in year 2000 & just issue a GC??????? On the other hand I see lots other people who applied year 2001 & already received their GC by now. Also if you notice USCIS website for case processing dates it clearly says they are processing April,2000. If that's the case how come 2001 are getting their GC??????? Does that means USCIS don't update their website??????
Please share all your experience thoughts. I'm sorry for this long message. Actually I'm so frustrated with all these that I got many unanswered questions in my mind.
