Yes. In this forum. Actually, I submitted my 485 on Nov 26 and ND is Dec 3, 2004. I got my 485 approved April 16, 2005.
If you go to EB1 or NIW category in this forum, you should be able to see some people got approval. For example Anya4ever got her both EB1 and NIW approval in April. Her ND is NOV 2004

Hi all,
Just got to this post today. I am a Nov filer who got approved in April (see signature). My husband's I485 is still pending though. He called the VSC and talked to a rep today and was told that his security chek is pending and would take another 60 days to clear. So I guess security cheks could be an issue with a lot of you people

Did the USCIS rep tell your spouse another 60 days can clear the FBI security check?? Can they predict that?
My spouse is still pending due to security check. Don't know how long it will take. I submitted a FOIPA for my spouse on May 3, 05, no response yet. ????
 
The rep at USCIS said 'your name chek is till pending. It might take another 60 days to process your case.' I am assuming this meant that they will be able to give a decision in that time.

Also, just after I got my approval, I'd contacted my lawyer and he had said to wait for 3 months before raising an enquiry. His reasoning was that requests for security cheks are sent/received in batches every 3 months. Therefore our cases might just be in different stages of this chek.

I dont claim to kow much about immigration...your guess is as good as mine. I've just decided to wait till July end and then initiate an enquiry through my lawyer

I contacted VSC last month. The rep said depend on how busy is FBI. She can not predict how long it will take to clear my spouse's name check. You got great patience to wait for 3 months. I don't have lawyer, so I would like to try myself every month.

485 approved, but...

Finally, got 485 approval email yesterday. Didn't feel so excited actually. But...

there's no approval for spouse, so I guess I would have to jump from one thread to another, another long wait.....

I tried to call three time to VSC. They are not giving status of I 485. I entered option as below. Customer service lady told me you have to select right option for status enquiry.

Anyone help me to reach VSC to findout name check is done ?


Press 1 (for english),
press 2 (for existing case),
press 6 (for case statues etc),
then press 1( for knowing your receipt no.),
enter the receipt # to get the automated response saying blah blah blah and also at the end saying this is the most upto date information on your case and our customer the same info national customer service agents have (i totally agree with this).
Then choose to continue to the next step "press 3" . choose 3
Listen to the options-
Option 4 "if you feel if you submitted together and one of the applications is

It is only a matter of short time your spouse will get it too. You need to cheer up and celebrate!

Thanks, KiranGreene. Actually I was not so excited when I got known. I thought I would be excited but no. Maybe because of having experienced too much torture on it. This forum is great, I am getting a lot of help from other people, someone I even can not remember their names, but I'm really moved by the sincerity and kindness of people here. I will keep hanging on here for spouse approval. Good luck to you all.
