Dear friends,
1. Does someone have an estimate of premium processing time for Vermont Service Center?
2. My status is expiring on May 13th after which DSO said I have 15 days grace period. So I have time till May 28th only. If I file for 20K on May 12th, will it allow me to be in status without resorting to Kaplan since the result of the petition will be pending?
3. DSO said they will have to make an entry after May 13th in my SEVIS record that the program has been terminated. Does USCIS check SEVIS records while processing or does it consider the I-20 I submitted along with the application.
4. Any idea of how long the 20K will last? Atleast a few days...... ?
Wasn't the 20K visa exactly intended for people who are going out of status after OPT + grace period is expiring? Alright, USCIS might have given additional 20K because 65K ran out but aren't many guys here on the grace period while they are applying? Their I-20s will be valid probably only till the last day of their OPT, so when USCIS checks their records, technically the I20 would have been expired, isn't it?
Someone (attorneys?) please please shed light on this matter....
