My common-law husband recently was offered a job in the USA, he will be going down with an L-1B and so far I have researched that I will be going on an L-2. I have several questions that have been bothering me for quite some time, so here goes!
1) I am not married to him by a church, we just live together, can I still get an L-2?
2) Who applies for the L-2? Me or the company that is sponsoring him?
3) Is my daughter tied to my L-2 visa or to his L-1B visa?
4) There is the consideration of getting married, however from what we have read that will slow down his visa application process, is this correct?
If anyone knows, that would be great. Apparently we must get this sorted out by Friday.
