I am on H1B visa and planning to make a first landing as an immigrant through Toronto airport in a month from now, and come back to US after 3-4 days. With regard to settlement funds do they/immigration officer strictly want us to take the specified amount (for e.g. about CAD 13.000 for two person family!) or if we carry 50-60 % of that is acceptable? What could possibly happen if we have only half the required amount? Anyone's opinion and advice on this would greatly help me!
