Service requests by USCIS Reps? How fast?

how long does it takes the distrct office to send a reply to the service request made by the USCIS customer reps.? (I called up for "outside processong time" of my case of almost 13 months)

Hi futureuscitizen,
I called about mine on 16th Nov and they told me I would get a response by letter in 30-45 days. I got a letter within a week that told me I would get another letter. That other letter finally came on 6th Dec with an interview date of 29th Jan.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I received a response from Newark DO within 6 days of USCIS rep sending a service request to DO.

Hi "Almostcitizen",

I live in Boston area too, so it's nice to meet you!
I noticed that your case was progressing rapidly in the early stage, but suddenly stopped at the stage of interview date.
You might have already explained here before, but what happened? Why the interview date was pushed so futher away?
Your experience might be very helpful for people like me who are still in the early stage. I have just submitted N400 last week. Many thanks!

Hi co1hz,

After my interview date was de-scheduled I had several infopass's and calls but they couldn't tell me anything. I had to wait until I was outside processing for them to look into it and the person on the phone who submitted my query still couldn't tell me why I was not rescheduled yet. Fairly quickly after the query I got my new date.

I had a great IO at the interview (was quite fun believe it or not!) and he said there was no obvious reason why it was not rescheduled sooner which I took to mean my file was at the back of some slackers pile! Given my interview was in the IO's tiny dishevelled cube in a cube farm in the JFK building and how the files were put in random boxes with no apprent order, I am not really surprised.

Raduilie on the Boston thread had the same original interview date as me and was also descheduled but was rescheduled to 11/8/06 so I guess time wise I was not that far off their's.

Very frustrating and I feel for futureuscitizen. You will likely be ok. My co worker filed after me and was done by May so it may just be random bad luck on my part!

HTH and good luck to all!

It varies a lot. E.g., I got a response within 3 days while my spouse hasn't gotten yet since calling 11 days ago.

We put in a request about my daughter's N-600 (way outside the standard processing times). It's been nearly 2 months (Jan 17th until now). I have an InfoPass on Friday
