Me and my family have a really hard time getting our Greencards due to that our sponsor,my uncle has lost our original/copy of the I-130 approvals, how would i go about in getting these back? I've waited too long for my priority date and it seems now i'm in my worst hour. my family and i have been living here for over a decade, since 91 and still we're unable to get even a permanent resident. i'm 19 now without the authority to work because my SS doesn't allow me to until i get approval from the INS which is until i get my greencard i think. I'm also unable to get my Drivers perment, college is around and it seems theres no hope for me. we've wasted too much money already hiring lawyers to help us and my latest one said we do have good visas and they are approved, but i can no longer pay him for his service. I have all my paperwork done for the Greencard, the only thing we're missing is the I-130,how can i go about in getting this? someone please help, thanks

you will have to write to the USCIS, do u have a A#???? You have to give them sme kind of reference # or do u have any correspondance from them?

Request a copy under FOIA. By law USCIS have to give you a copy. But you will have to find your A# / LIN # and fax a request ASAP. You can even try going to the local INS with the documents that you have. Maybe they will stamp you PP (I hope you have been in this country legally till now).

i have a I-94,and i do have an alien number, but the thing is my I-94 has expired..its been two years now since it has expired. how would i go about in contacting the FOIA,is there a number i can contact them? or general address for requests?

If you have been living here since 1991, what status have you maintained so far? How would you know your 130 is approved? You should have a reference case # like LIN# or EAC# or SRC#, you will have to go to your local INS office (the state where you are). only they can help you....Good Luck.

It will take @ 2 years if you want duplicate copy of the approval notice..
No Kidding.. fact.. check the processing time at USCIS.GOV
Friend of mine had same problem.. his Lawyer told that, you better find it or wait for 2 years..
