Sequrity check in FBI tracking

My RD is 09/2001 and until now I have not got anything progressed except one fingerprint done.
I called the senator office to help and the response was that my name is not cleared from sequrity check.
Does any know if we can and how to check the status of FBI sequrity check.

out of about 6 times I called myself. Three times they said it was assigned to a officer and other three time they said no.
nonono, I am not frustrated anymore, I am over it already.
 
Humm, so the security check could be done after assigned to officer?

The three no, is it we can't disclose or no, it's not assigned.

Have you ever asked about the security check?
 
The senator office told me it was in sequrity check not the IIO. IIO only told me that it is pending and just yesterday they told me it will take to 24 months to process this type of case. two weeks ago it was 22 months and four weeks ago it was 21 months ....

Do you know how we can check the process of sequrity check?
 
On another forum raj70vijay said that the FBI phone no. for finger print status - 304-625-5590. I did call that number and they do tell you if the FP was cleared or not and on what day. However, I am still searching if there is any way we can find out the status for FBI Name Check. I am pretty sure that somehow or the other we can find out if the check was done or not. I don't think we will be able to know the results of the check i.e. what records were found on our name.
If anyone knows a way to get the status of FBI Name Check (which I am assuming is same as the Security Check), then we would appreciate if you can let us know.

I have my security check pending for many months. My local INS interview was done in March'03 but no sign of approval. I tried contacting them but no updates from them.
 
I have the same experience with goal 32. My RD is Sept 01, and ND is Oct 01. RFE is Dec 02.
When I call IIO in NCS in Jan and Feb, I was told my case was assigned to an officer after they received my RFE receponse. However from March, IIO told me that my case was pending.
Recently after contact senator, I was told that my FBI name check has not come back.
Why does my name check take more than half year? Is it because I have a common first name and common last name? Don't make sense.

I would like know the way to check tha status of name check!!!!

You mentioned that we could call the FBI number and ask if fingerprints have been cleared. What information do we have to give them ? Is the I485 LIN number enough ? Or is there another identification/LIN number for fingerprints. I am asking since I do not currently have my fingerprint notice but do have by 485 LIN number. I want to call them but do not know if I have enough information ? What do they check by ?

i called them and they said it was 'completed' on 6th june 2002 ..... that was the day we gave our fingerprints....don't know what they mean by completed....i asked her if it was cleared...she said yes...

If you hear any info on how to get information about FBI name check, please share.....

Yes, when I called, they also said that it was completed on the same day my fingerprints were taken. I asked her that were they cleared and was INS notified, she said yes. I again asked her to make sure that now INS can proceed forward with my case and not wait for the FP results, and she said yes that is correct.
So now I am guess that the next major wait time is the Security clearance (Name Check). I was still not able to find out a way how to do that. It gets fustrating, but like they say patience is a virtue!
 
So there is not a number we can call to find the status of the security checking?
How can we find out if there is a number we can call?
Let us put our effort on finding this !!!
