Guys,

Whats the predictions/guesses for what September will be like? Do we expect September to be really quiet and then a flood of approvals in October?

Personally I think that September will be impossible to predict and I think that we will see alot of approvals in October for people who have been moving through the process now and are just waiting for the visa numbers to come through.

What I fear is that if you miss the initial approval flood in October, we maybe waiting for a long time.

Any thoughts?

As far as i knew and confirmed by gurus such as RealCannadian, unless your pd is current you wont see approval. So we just have to wait and see VB for October

So asking a selfish question. For RoW it says that for the EB2 category priority date is 01-Jan-07, does this still mean I have a chance as my priority date is May-06?

Also doesn't the approvals in August throw this all out of the window as everything was supposed to be U then?

rav, You should be fine, yes. The VB for August is certainly U. The approvals you are seeing now are ones that were most likely sitting for final adjudication on someone's desk and a visa number was probably allocated for these cases. Thats the guess. The approval gates should open in the middle of September, when the September VB kicks in, or at least thats the word out of my congresswoman's office.

VB for September kick-in on September 1st thru 30th

Thanks ks__cc. Is there an exact date that the bulletin comes into effect? I have a recollection about it being the 17th, but that might be just the August deadline which is probably burned into everyones brain.

Thanks for the answer Techbuyer.

Lot of things to do at TSC office, no sleep for them, till they clear transferred VSC cases followed by TSC local filed cases...

I dont think there will be down trend in approvals in September, they might continue with same pace of approvals till the end of November.

Remeber: USCIS is under staffed !!

The visa bulletin are issue by Dept of State roughly around the middle of the month. The bulletin becomes effective the following month.

For e.g. Sept bulletin was issue around Aug 14th and will become effective from Sep 1st to Sep 30.

So, we would come to know what will be the visa number availability around mid-september when DoS issues Oct bulletin.

USCIS has to use up all available visas for the 2006-2007 quota in September, or lose them forever. So I would guess they'll keep approving as many cases as they can, provided visas are available - and again, my guess is that there quite a few visas available.
