Sept 03 case still pending

My I-140 was approved last year and the ND for I-140/I-485 is Sept 03. FP done in October 04. Nothing happened after that.

My company filed I-140 and I-485 for me. Should I contact the company attorney for the status enquiry. Can I initiate an enquiry by myself?

How to initiate an enquiry and how to check whether the name check/security check has been cleared by FBI. Thanks for the help.
 
waitfor140, I am in the same boat, Am hoping to get FP2 in a couple of months and then probably an approval. Is your case EB2 or EB3 ?
