Being specific to your question if there is a way to find out if they cashed the Money Order or not then yeah....there is a way which is piece of a cake. You have to go back to where the Money Order was purchased from, fill in the form to trace it to find out if it got paid or not. You will need to pay $5 or more dollars to trace it and wait a few weeks to get an answer.
As for you have been fingerprinted already, then it doesn't guarantee that your Money Order (or check) has been cashed. USCIS sends out a notice for Fingerprinting right away once they receive the application and everything is okay about the application as for it's filing goes.
However, you having done with Fingerprinting or they having sent you a notice for Fingerprinting is a valid proof that they DID receive your application. So obviously, they have already cashed out the Money Order as well by now.
