Hello,

I am applying for my parents, and have sent off my affidavit of support paperwork about three weeks ago to the National Visa Center. However I have not heard back except for the receipt we got for sending the letter. What now? Do my parents hear directly or do I hear first?

Can anyone give me an idea?

Thanks.

D.

I assume you're getting your parents a visa to come to this country? You don't really give enough information for anyone to be able to figure out exactly what you applied for.

You probably have already sent back DS 3032. That would trigger IV fee bill which in turn trigger DS 230 Part I going to the agent. (This is for standard review consulate, procedures are somewhat different for Application review consulate). Once your I864 and DS 230 Part 1 are with NVC, they review them and if they are complete, they will forward the entire file to the consulate and notify the agent. Next your parents will hear from the consulate when their interview is scheduled. Please refer to threads in CP forum to get some idea about timelines.
