Sent I-485 to VSC, no receipt

Sent I-485 to VSC on September 27th, check cashed on October 9th but no receipt yet. Does anyone know how long it takes?

It might take some time to get the receipt. But look at the back of your cashed check and it should have your receipt number starting with EAC.....

My lawyer has received a receipt notice for I485, EAD on "10/27/2000" from VSC for received date "09/19/2000" with Notice date "10/16/2000". May be that should help.
