Sent FOIPA request by FAX: Does FBI reply by mail

Today I sent my FOIPA request to FBI by fax to find out if there are any records in the FBI against my name.

What I am wondering is how will they send their reply? Will they mail the reply to my address?

I would appreciate input from others who have gone down this path.

I too faxed FOIPA on 07/21/2005, yesterday.

Saontsh will you send an email to my email add softjob123@yahoo.comm if you get response to FOIPA.

I am also forwarding same info to your PM.

I do the same thing if I get any repsonse, I am just 1 day in advance to you.

I will let you know if I hear anything. I am bit worried becaue I have had a DWI. SO dont know if any records will show up in name check or only in fingerprinting.

Me and my wife did FOIPA and got no record.So what is my next step??Still my 485 not approved.

Search on google for "Rahul_kumar my name check experience".

It will bringup a link on this forum, which will tell you all the details. But
in the nutshell - download the form from http://foia.fbi.gov/ (privacy_request.pdf) and fax it.
