Sent CZ application too early now what?

tooearly

New Member
One of my close friend told me its 4 and half year in GC and I can apply, hence i send my application two days back. I just completed 4 years 6 months 15 days,
Now what can i do? Will it be rejected or denied? Will that effect my future application(incase its rejected and i have to apply again after 3 months?)
I am sure my $400 are gone....(i have to learn from my mistake i guess)

Any insight will be really helpfull here.
I got my GC through employement, hence 5 yr rule applies.

Thanks/ :o

I am not sure what happens to your fees but I assume it's gone as you pointed out correctly (Sorry, we need to talk facts...) All you need is send in your application when you are done 4yrs. 9 months!

You will probably get the rejection notification in mail unless you get Immigration Officer who would be concerned about the amount of money that we put in for doing our applications legally....

HTH.

Thanks

Found some more info from one of the law website.

Don't submit your application for citizenship before the 90-day window, even by a day. The INS won't tell you your application was submitted too early until you arrive for your interview, probably a year or so later. Then the INS can, and usually does, deny your citizenship. If this happens, you must start the application process all over again.

If "Tooearly" sent a personal check, what would happen if he stops payment on that check? Just a thought...

He can do this, but if they already cashed the check, it's done deal.

Now he need to withdraw this application first before sending another one.

I suggest him to make an INFO. PASS and see what if he can get his money back, and file a new application after withdrwing the one he sent.
