Sending N-400 form from oversea (2-3 weeks before arrived in USA)?

Is it ok to send N-400 form from oversea 2-3 weeks before I arrived in USA? I am eligible to apply in Dec 20,2012 (3 month early apply rule). From the tracker, it seems Finger Print is usually 1 month after the application sent.

I read about applicants doing that but if you would gain just 2 or 3 weeks why don't you just submit it within the US once you return?

Don't know where you are right now, but postal service from overseas can be slow and there is a higher likelihood of the package to get lost. I would just submit it in the US the same day you return.

If it's sent by private courier like Fedex/DHL/UPS it can arrive in 1 to 3 days.

thanks. yeah, kind of agree,not much different in getting it faster in 2 weeks time
