Sending Forms to KCC...

Is it better to send your forms to the KCC before your marriage and then re-send them once you are married? Or is it better to wait? I have a very low number (AF000013**) and do not know if it is better to send them back quickly now to be processed or wait?

Thanks in advance...

Let me just add this in. Our wedding is planned in about three months. Please can someone help as to whether I should submit my forms to the KCC now and update them later, or only send them once we are married?

What is the best solution?

It is easier to get married before sending back the forms to KCC.
The less corrections or amendments KCC have to deal with, the less chances of mistakes.
Having said so, I got married after sending in the forms. I contacted KCC via email and they gave me instructions as to how to proceed.

Whether you get married before or after, remember to contact KCC. Your spouse will have a new set of forms to fill in, plus documents to attach.

Good luck

Thanks BarbaraLamb... Much appreciated.

Hi MJBMLB,

Since the wedding is going to be in 3 months time and ur number is pretty low for africa, I think you should send back the forms and then update them later that u are married.
They'll direct you on how to fill out her own forms and all you need to do is proove to them at the embassy that u didn't get married coz of the lottery. U need pics, ur wedding certificates and other stuff to show that u had been dating before now orrrrrrrrrrrr u can quickly go to the registry get married and send back the forms then in 3 months time u can do the wedding proper.
That's what i think. The decision is urs to make.

Thanks MamaJ...

Regarding the dsp-122 form, question 7b (Describe the type of work you did)... Is it best to just put points or write a paragraph? Just like to be thorough :)
