Hi guys, I was granted asylum in2002. Applied for GC in 2003. Case transferred to Chicago asylum office in 2006. Since then I have not heard anything. Got a lawyer and I was told my case is under background review. Filed DHS9001 and they told me some cases may take longer than others (still under review). Today I receive a call from senator's office saying my case is pending review from the asylum director in chicago.
Has anyone experienced this before?
