my rd was nov 23 2001 got no rfe no 2nd fp nothing , after approaching senator BCIS sent me 2nd fp for october ....so guys if any one r in same boat take help of senator looks like BCIS responds to senators and by the by how long it takes to get approved after 2nd fp

I did my second FP in the month of May. I got my approval after 90 days from my 2nd FP. It normally takes 60-90 days for FBI security and Name check (if your name hits the database).

It depends on how cooperative his office is? I approached Senator Dodd. His office never get back to me. Not to disappoint any one, That is the fact.

There is nothing wrong trying out different options.

not true always

I contacted NJ Senator Lautenburg and his office was prompt in issuing a request to BCIS about my case. Only, they got back to me saying that the case is "pending" and that I should re-check in 30 to 45 days for a "status update." No dice!

I really don't think there is any point in contacting a senator/congressman. I spoke to someone in Congressman Brady's office in Philly. She called BCIS in the 1st week of August. The reply she got (which everyone else on this board also got) was that it will take 1 to 2 months for my case to approve. This is the standard answer BCIS gives to everyone. These people in BCIS are absolutely useless and I don't think any senator/congressman can do anything about it. Unless someone like Tom Ridge calls BCIS, they are not going to approve. You will be approved only after someone stumbles on your file and makes a decision.

What I read bcis site is all congress people will have direct number. This means immigration officers will answer them directly.
