Hi Gurus,United Nations,Ginnu,

Thanks in advance for yr help.

I have my I485 pending with NSC. To know the status of my Name Check,I have been contacting my Congressman and Senator. First my Congressman enquired the status with NSC, and replied back saying that they are waiting for the visa numbers. I also got the same reply from the Senator as well. Also both of them say that if my case is struck in Name Check, they would say so. So in this case you security checks are done.

After my Congressman's response,I was not sure if this is a generic reply,so I went for the Senator's help as well, they also came back with the same reply. Keep in mind both of them gave me my exact priority date and other details right.

Given this scenario,Should I ask my Senator's office for a seperate FBI enquiry (OR) Do you guys think that I'm worrying too much ?

Replies are very much appreciated.

Thanks,
JMJ

EB2 PD:August 2003(Own Labor)

it is a generic response. It doesn't mean your name check is done.

I got similar reply before my PD is current and then after it is current, the response is stuck in name check.

Thanks wildthing !!

Today I contacted the congressman again and they read out to me the email they received from USCIS earlier and it says "Name checks are ok". But just to double check, if it is ok for both me and my spouse, I'm goin to initiate a FBI enquiry with my Senator.

Any one else has different views, Please post.

Thanks,
JMJ
