Hi !
I have a huge problem on my hands, and it is concerning Selective Services

I am male, 27 years old, and lived in the country since September 1998.
Don't have Green Card, however, I applied for Green Card on 12/13/2007(I was 24 years old at that moment) and already went through finger-printing and medicals. (I am looking at I-797C for finger printing, in the top right corner notice date is 12/13/2007, and date for finger printing was 01/03/2008)

Today, I got notice from Federal Student Financial AID (FASFA) informing me that I have not registered with Selective Services !!!!!!

According to Official Form, directly from I-485 form "Upon USCIS acceptance of my application, I authorize USCIS to transmit to the Selective Service System my name, current address, Social Security Number, date of birth and the date I filed the application for the purpose of recording my Selective Service registration as of the filing date."

Official record system at sss.gov has no records of my registration.

I am confused. Was 2007 form different from 2010 and did not include Selective Service registration ? Is sss.gov wrong ?

Any help will be appreciated ! Thanks !

Call the Selective Service office. Their web site does not have access to complete information. You may have been automatically registered by USCIS, but your record just hasn't shown up (yet) on the web site.

Many people have a similar problem where the web site shows they haven't registered, but when calling they find out they were actually registered and they can get a letter to confirm it.

However, if you were in lawful nonimmigrant status from age 18 to 26, you were not required to register.
