Hi,
My husband is a Green card holder and he applied for US citizenship. Last week he was called for interview in Charlotte office, but the INS officer did not approve his application because he did not register in the selective service( he is over age now). The Officer wanted a letter from him explaning the reasons of not registering in SS. Can anyone please help me what would be the best reasons for the letter?
When he got the form from Selective service he was very new in US and he did not know that he has to register.
