Selective Service system (SSS)

I'm currently on H1 and today I received my registration confirmation into the Selective Service System. I believe SSS a database maintained by the army incase a draft should occur. I don't know how i got on there but anyways my question is that consdering im a non-US citizen, am i required to register for SSS?

Nope.You are not required to register in SSS if you are on HIb visa. However,
if your status changes to permanent resident or Citizen you will be required
to register with SSS.
