I read the few threads on this.. and unfortunately, I am still confused. ;-)
I think the confusion is mainly due to the language used in the worksheet used in the "Guide" and the N400 form itself.
I entered US on F-1 visa status when I was 22 years old and changed to
H1 only when i was 26 and got my GC when i was 31. I was legal at all times.
So according to N400 - when it asks me..
----------
33. Are you a male who lived in the United States at any time between your 18th and 26th birthdays
in any status except as a lawful nonimmigrant? Yes No
-----------
I feel the correct answer is "NO".
I was in the US between 18 and 26 and was always a lawful nonimmigrant.
However, the guide worksheet does not ask about lawful nonimmigrant status. it just asks about my prescence in the US.
so according to that I have to present my Status Info Sheet.
I am going ahead and trying to get my Status Info sheet anyways to be on the safe side.. but ... what should my answer be in Q 33 on N400 ?
Yes or No ?
