I just realized that I have not registered for selective service. I am currently 28 and I received my permanent residency when I was 24 years old. I unfortunately had not prior knowledge of selective service until now. Now after reading the sss.gov website, it appears that I was required to register as soon as i received permanenent residency.
I am a little anxious about this especially considering the website is pretty strongly worded for failing to register. It also states that this may affect my naturalization process.
Can anyone please help me as to what my course of action will be? I am eligible for applying for naturalization this november. I am an Indian national.
