Selective Service Registration/Change address

Hi there,

on behalf of my friend I'd like to ask you a question concerning Selective Services (SSS). My friend got his green card in early 2007 along with letter from SSS with the registration number.

Since then he moved couple times (filed AR-11) but didn't update any information with the Selective Services.

1) Is this a potential issue for citizenship interview?

2) Is it satisfactory just to be once registered?

Thank you!

So he should be fine despite the fact that he didn't change the address when he was suppossed to?

Not reporting address change to Homeland is a crime which is not being prosecuted now. At the same time, I do not know if it matters about Selective Services. Dont' worry from N400 perspective.

There should not be any problems. I registered with Selective Service on-time but then lost the registration card and moved several times without notifying them. Finally, before going to a N-400 interview, I just called SS, updated my address and requested a copy of my registration card. It was never an issue at the citizenship interview. The interviewing IO just briefly glanced at the SS registration card, and that was it.
