Hello Immi Gurus,

I am a new member of this forum and have question for all of you guys. I had a selection interview on Feb 19, 2003 and both me and my wife appeared in the interview and were selected.

The visa officer told me that all the documents are completed except my FBI Finger Printing as it was more than a year old. So I was told to submit a fresh one and then will get the visa stamped.

I got my fingerprinting done next day and sent it to FBI and then sent the Report to Canadian Consulate in NY on March 17 and they received it on March 18, 2003.

Since then, I have not received any letter from them about any sort of confirmation about my selection or any letter asking me to go to the consulate and get the passports stamped. I have sent them two faxes so far.

Anyone has any sort of experience about this? I want to find out what is the time frame for them to send the confirmation letter after receiving the missing document once the selection interview has been passed.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Don't expect any confirmation letter. CIC does not send any confirmation letter. Just wait for 1-2 months. You are quite close in getting the letter for passport request.
