Hello,
I have a typical situation and would like to describe it first.
I am currently working on F-1 OPT status and have my H1 B visa approved starting from October 1st 2012.
In december I have a trip to India with two purpose, firstly Marriage and Secondly, H1B stamping for me and dependant visa (H4) stamping for my fiance.
I hail from 'Jamshedpur' and my fiance hails from 'Lucknow', as per my knowledge I am free to have my Visa stamping anywhere in the country but the same doesnt apply to my fiance.
We are getting married on Dec 8th (in Indore) and expected to book a visa date in between Dec 10th to Dec 15th.
And we have a issue of where should we go for Visa stamping, as per conevnience Kolkata seems to be the best option.
Also, We both would go for stamping together.
Thus, can we choose kolkata as a Visa stamping venue or should we go for Delhi as 'Lucknow' falls in Delhi region and its the place where my fiance is staying currently?
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
