security/name checks for Advance Parole applications?

Dear All,

Do you know if the I-131 applications go through security checks or name checks etc. also? I know 485 are getting stuck in that but do parole or EAD applications are facing such problems?

I know 3 months is the general time it takes to get AP but what factors could delay it? Do all applicants have to get the biometrics done?

I have always received my AP within 90 days and I have had 3 so far. I don't think there are any particular background check delays that could come up. I have never had to have biometrics for AP.

I know that EADs are taking a little longer than in prior years. Mine is at 78 days at the moment but the two prior cards came within 90 days. I have always had biometrics taken for EAD.
 
So biometrics are not a must for all EAD applicants?

Could you share if your name is a common one? and original citizenship is...?
 
I think they are a must for EAD, I have had biometrics taken all three times. They will send you an appointment letter if you need them.

Original citizenship UK, not a particularly common surname, just apparently an unlucky one.
 
Biometrics is needed only for e-filed EAD/AP. I have got 3 EAD/AP and never done biometrics fro them.
