Security/Name check pending cases

I am in big trouble - my case is under security check.

Could you please help me how to get out of this, how long it takes. Please suggest if you know anyone has gone thru is successfully.

Also if there are any one stuck because of those checks, let us please discuss what we can do.

If your RD is before Aug/2004, you should get GC within a month.

was told security check is pending and we can't predict when it will be cleared.......i asked if that means name check too, and she said yes..

Looks like I am also struck on name check

I called USCIS today and found out that my name check is still pending.

pipedream, how did you get your namecheck cleared? by writing to Laura Bush?

Interestingly when my wife called yesterday, they said her name check is cleared and my case status looks the same ??!!

And now I have to apply for my 4th EAD & AP

I just got a reply after writing to the president. They are telling me to suck it up and wait.

Any knows what this Aug 2004 RD about? In our case the RD is 12/2004 or 01/2005 but just curious ...What is the use if the name check is cleared in a month and Priority dates have retrogressed?
