According to the TSC Processing Dates update for September 15th 2007, the processing time frame for the I-485 applications based on grant of asylum more than 1 year ago is August 01, 2004.
But after reading some postings on this forum, I feel some applicants who applied for adjustment before August 1, 2004 are still pending. (If I am correct?) .
According to the update there can be two reasons to delay the case processing, That is,
"There are several important exceptions to the processing times shown below:
• Case processing will be delayed if we must ask you for more evidence or information.
If we ask for missing required initial evidence, count the processing time from when we receive that missing evidence.
• The case processing timeframe will start over if a customer doesn't appear for an interview or asks that it be rescheduled"
Is there anybody who files for adjustment are still weighting for the decision?
In my case, TSC said they are still writing for security check. And don’t send anything without asking. Is that means they have all he documents what they required except security check?
Or
This processing date does not reflect security check backlog at all?
(But I am still good. Because I applied for adjustment after the current processing date)
Or
There is no any decision is pending for those who file before that processing date? (even due to pending security check).
Please answer?
Thanks.
