Security Check - How long does it take?

Hi there,
Just wondering if any one knows how long it is taking for security check to be completed. My H1 application is held up due to the security check. The security check has been requested by the Consulated at Tijuana.

I have travel plans for December and am wondering if it will come through before that. Thanks

The time it takes is highly variable ....

Some of my friends got help up in India for security checks and it took all of them atleast 3 to 4 months....
One person was held up for 5+ months !!!

Hope for the best - that's all
 
Im really surprised that Tijuana is sending many of its applicants for security check. Why is that it is happening only with that consulate any special reason??
 
Perhaps non-TAL cases might be ok at Tijuana. It is probably only the TAL cases that are having trouble with Tijuana.

As I had mentioned in the prev posting, I saw mostly chinese names in the security check log (lot of chinese in research area). I did not see many Indian names (perhaps because most are in software) in the list.
 
Security Check update.

Just thought will update. I got my security check cleared in 3 weeks (for some whom I met there, it had taken 7 weeks).
