security check, got reply from FBI chief (FOIPA)

Got a message from FBI section chief:

Message:

Dear xxxx,


This is in response to your Freedom of Information –Privacy Acts (FOIPA) request noted above.

A search of the automated indices to our central records system files at FBI headquarters located no records responsive to your FOIPA request.

Although no records responsive to your FOIPA request were located, we are required to inform you that you are entitled to file an administrative appeal if so desire. ………etc.



What It means? Any idea?

EB2, NOV 03, I-485 pending , 3rd EAD approved today, no lud on I-485 from first day till today. Code 3 done during sep 2005.

it means nothing out of ordinary. I haven't seen a response any different from yours so far.
 
Hi!
it's still unclear why we need to do a name check again that only causes delay in our application...

Does anyone know if our namecheck procedure + ( Fingerprints/ biometrics) is different from the visa namecheck at the NVC?

How did you file this FOIA

Please let us know how did you file this FOIA form and how did you send it. Did you send via fedex or regular mail.

1>first time I faxed the request letter to FBI cheif .

2> 4 days later I got a mail from FBI cheif with FOIA form with his signature and forwarding address.

3> filled out the form and sent it back through usps priority mail.

4> 6 days later I got a mail with FBI response.
I could use this response form as an evidence while talking to NSC USCIS.

Can you provide more details such as the fax number or address and any related information (what did you write in the request).
