Second FP received!

I received my second FP notice yesterday. Appointment date is Feb 09, 2007. My first one was done in June 2005. My name check was cleared in Nov 2006 ( after sending snail mails to tons of people including Secretary, DHS, FBI Director and Senators ).

I guess this is a good sign based on what I have read on other forums. Atleast I hope so!

I hope that is good news for you rasi_s. My second FP was done on 10/18/06, and have not heard anything after that.

Have you inquired about the status of your application - perhaps by calling or infopass or via congressman/senator?
 
FP Notice via USPS

Jhawilla : I received FP notices through USPS.

mjaingc : Did you enquire with VSC about your app after that? I know in one case it took two months + 1 week for the approval after 2nd FP. As far as I know that was the longest wait. Now, yours seem to be more than that.

Rasi: I took infopass yesterday but immigration officer was of no help. She says my case is still pending with VSC. When I asked for namecheck, she reluctantly tried to check and said it is still pending (Name check cleared Oct'06 according to VSC representative, and soon after I got FP2 notice). Anyway I have contacted both senator and congressman. Senator no help, but congressman office seems to be of some help. Thye told me to call on monday, as they have assinged the case to a specific person, and he will try to find it out. Planning to write letter to first lady and Ombudsman also.
 
Just got a letter from VSC alos that security check is still pending. What should I do, write to FBI , first lady? Please advice. Thanks
 
Thats is what I have been wondering. I was told that My security /background check was complete. Now that my date is currect they asked for my Second FP's and now again my security check as per letter recd after a month from 2nd Fp is pending.
Are they now doing the Back ground check again.
If that the case I am screwed and caught in this circle........

Approved!!!

Our I-485s are approved finally! There was an LUD and message changed on the website. I also received 6 emails from CRIS. Here is the LUD message:

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On March 2, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Waiting for the cards now.

Our 7 year GC journey began way back in 2000. Had to face two layoffs and had to abondon the GC process during the Labor Certification phase itself on both the times. This is the third one and it has finally ended with a sweet note. I am really greatful to this forum, its organisers and members for all the support and clarity it provided. The wealth of information it has and the real time sharing of information really helped me maintain sanity through the testing times.

What is your exact PD with date and month and Did you get any LUD before you receive the second FP notice?

My PD is Oct 5, 2002. See my signature for the LUDs.

Is your name check cleared yet? If it is not write to everyone you can think of - FBI, DHS, Whitehouse etc., Atleast one of them might work.

Second FP

I applied my 485 in Feb 2006 and got first FP in March 2006. I didn't get any LUD since 9/06. I called the 1-800 number to check the status but they didn't have any update regarding the Name check. They said it's still pending. Today I got notice for second FP. My first FP is within 18 months and so I think it's still valid. Is there any connection between second FP and completion of Name / Security check. Do we get second FP notice ONLY after the completion of Name Check? Please share your experiences.

Probably, they got the results from your checks. What did you get, code3 [GC]?

Coincidently I, also, got a FP3 notice today [12JUL07]. Letter from VSC for titular and dependant and our last one was taken on MAR06. When they asked for RFE , on 24MAY07, our FP was still current [15 mo]. Now, what else they want to approve my case.

If your expired FP is code3, they are all set with photo and signature. They need only the 10 FP code1 to adjudicate your case. It will take about couple months for decision after the FP date. Time for local police criminal records investigation.
