Hi,
My second FP notice was sent to my old address in Dallas even though I updated my address with VSC(received a confirmation letter from them) and also filed the AR-11 form. I have moved to Los Angeles.
The notice got forwarded (Dont ask how it got forwarded...Most of us heard and know that INS mails do not get forwarded) and I received the notice today (10/8/2003). The FP was scheduled for YESTERDAY (10/07/2003) and the FP notice was generated on 09/08/2003. I had filed my change of address in June 2003 anad received confirmation from VSC in June itself.
I called BCIS customer support today regd this..... 1st time I spoke to a lady and she said I need to send the bottom part of the FP notice to reschedule and thats all she cud do. I was not convinced of this reply. I called up again after 2 minutes and got another customer rep on the line. I explained to her and she put me on to a officer . The officer asked for my EAC no and she confirmed on the system that they had my new address (Atleast they conformed this) and the FP notice should have been sent to my new address. She cud not tell why it cud have happened.
She asked me to go to the Los Angeles District office and ask them to schedule my FP in Los Angeles. I asked her if I can get my FP done here in Los Angeles with my Current FP notice...she said that I will need a appointment letter for Los Angeles Support Center to get FPed.
So anyway... I need to go to the district office to get this sorted out. I hope I dont get scheduled for 3-4 months later. All because of BCIS.
Just wanted to share this with all and those who are waiting for 2nd FP notice and changed addresses... even though their system shows the correct address ...they send notices to old addresses..... I guess they have a history table in ther database which keeps track of all address changes and for some reason it pulled out my previous address for the FP notice.
Was anyone in a similar situation?
Excuse me if this posting was too long..........
