second FP notice

I have an approved EB1-OR petition and my I 485 has been pending since Oct 2007. I have received another biometric notice now (Code 1). I am surprised as I had my first FP done in Dec 2007 (after july 2007 fiasco) and I should not have been asked for another biometrics.
Anyways are they going to go for namecheck again? Or getting a second FP notice is a good sign?
I"d appreciate any suggestions...

FPs expire after 15 months, so it is common to be asked to go again after 15 months (or longer) have passed since the first FP. This has nothing to do with name check, just updating your fingerprints, that's all. Your first notice in 2007 was probably "Code 3" and this is probably "Code 1" (you will see this on the notice on the far right, near the top).

It's probably a good sign, but I don't like speculating.

Yes it is code 1. I had infopass appointment and the IO told me that my namecheck is clear. So I guess they don't need to repeat it again....Hopefully atleast this second FP will change the LUD which has been stuck for a while now...

Oh please don't tell me you follow these "LUDs" - they don't mean anything. I actually don't remember seeing any changes in my online portfolio right until my GC was approved, even though I did have a second biometrics appointment.
 
You are right....these LUDs just provide some mental satisfaction and nothing else. So after how long your second biometrics you got your approval?

I believe our cases have the similar time lines, see my signature.
Recently I received I-485 approval notice. However, it says that within the next 90 days, they shall inform me about the bio-informatics or the card production. I am guessing that I need a second FP. I don't have the welcome notice, not the card production notice etc. Wait for three more months? I will keep you updated of my case. Please do keep us updated of your case.

Namecheck Inquiry

I noticed that you guys are able to know if your namecheck is cleared or not. How do you guys do that? I try calling the USCIS no. to check for update but they only tell me what's stated on my online LUD. I asked them if my namecheck has been cleared... they tell me they dont know.

Can anyone enlighten on this matter? (i.e. knowing the status of my namecheck)
