Second FP Notice!! POJ! please answer my questions.

Myself and my wife received second FP notice to appear on April 19th. What happens if we go early like within March. Will they take my FP. Second question is whether doing early FP is better than specified date.

:mad: Third question is one kind of last name on Drivers license and SSN card (eg. Rao, Rama) and other on passport, all visa stamps (eg. Choudary Rama Rao), I-485, I-140 notices and EADs, tax papers (Choudary, Rama). This problem encountered as I have two last names. Rama is my given name. One like caste title and other like family title. What happens with this traumatic situation. When I go for FP, generally I show passport and EAD as my IDs.

I-140 approved 08/2002
I-485 RD 03/2003 AD ???
3 EADs, 3 APs
First FP 03/10/2003
Second FP noticed for 04/19/2005

I believe if u have received FP, and they allow you for early FP, than go ahead for FP, I didn't see any issue with that. :D . be hopeful everytihng will be fine.

Last Name issue:
When a some one arrive first time in this country the most important doc is Passport. I believe you are not the only person who have name issues, the main reason is many passport have only

Name: abc
Farthers Name: xyz

And ppl form South East Asia do have their name in two parts, as u shared Chodary Rao. etc, and when they asked to fill their first doc here (i.e I-94 / Driving Licnese /SS) everything starts from their.

Always Use First name as it in passport. if Last name/sir name/family name is not written in passport. try to include it in ur pp if u wish. once name on PP is set, u can cnange name on DL/SS that is not prob.

I am assuming that u did write ur correct name in all LC/140/485/765 applications

INS issued EAD using name from these application, like

Last Name, Middle Init, First name


i.e SMITH, D JOHN

( Firt Name: John, Middle name: David, Last Name: Smith)


As I believe that all story start from Passport, don't worry about DL/SS/EAD.

make ur mind and try to use only one Last name in all papers. again u are not alone in this... and they (INS) also und too. you can change/correct ur name later in future too.

The current issue. u have concerns to go for FP having diff name on ID?

I believe your EAD and FP has same name. so use EAD.


on bottom line if u think that u can compromise with current names u wrote in 485/EAD applicaitons than it is wise thing not to change on this stage, when 485 is in pending, keep it continue


So bototm line relax and take it easy, as I mention u are not alone.... :D
